Qoed

Good design can happen everywhere.

Fabric is soft and light.
Cut is flattering (like a fitted but loose T-shirt).
chich color scheme can be easily dressed up or seem casual chic.
Well done
Hema.

Why can't it always rain on me?

If only it rained just on me, than I'd be happy cos I'd wear this jacket from Danefae - all the time! Or alternate with some other equally delicious ones!

And I'm not even starting on their logo! Waking up the Vik Le Viking in me...

So Material!

I have not been impressed by JPG at Target, have even forgotten to mention Zac Pozen's collection for Target too, but cannot go without telling you about the Material Girl Collection soon to be available at Macys.

You can't have missed this... I had (ah........those things that decide to pop up, just when you're gone for few weeks into the wild, and by wild I mean far from internet nor cell phone coverage...).
Sometimes it's this vain civilization in not so bad and suits me just fine ;-)

I do like Madge, and if this is anything like her H&M collection... we're onto a winner. Also I read in a magazine that Stella McCartney asks Lourdes for advice on new creations. Not bad!

Jean-Paul, we need to talk.

Going to Target this morning with a much sceptikal mind about what to espect from JPG's collection (as previoulsy posted), I found myself falling in love with a unsual sarouelmeetsmariniene dress.
The colour was nice, even the attached scarf that loops from the decolte to the backbetween your legs (sounds wierd I know) and lifts slightly the middle to make it look like a sarouel intiguided me in a good way. It looks more like a tunic on me and worn on jeans...oh my, it is breathtaking..........but.
Alas, BUT.
The Dress is is polyester. And, there is only one single item in my wardrode made of polyester. a rare exception. I simply don't do polyester.
I wish it was cotton, but no, after staring for minutes at the tag, the words didn't change....
Sorry but that won't work for me Jean-Paul.
And neither will your funky nylon pink white black dress. Come ON!!!! Nylon?
To make it short : I wasn't planning on finding something for me. But am disappointed for a reason I didn't anticipate....the item I did like and would have looked terrific on me in terms of cut was such a technical miss.

Too bad!
Total nay!

No way Jose!
Jean-Paul, you've let the side down!!
Am not sure I am into this 'designer for high street brands' thing.

MARCH 7

It is written it in bold red underligned big caps in my agenda.

March 7 :
JPG at Target!!!!!!!!!!

If those three intials seems cryptic to you, go there.

Je suis verte!!
I want the Trench Coat. Now.
He did a collection for 'La Redoute' years ago and it was beautiful. In fact I got a 'marinière' at the time and I must have given it away to someone cos I can't find it anywhere. Why, oh why...

On this side of the pond we have this to look forward to

Rykiel for H&M, opens Feb 20th...

Not bad either!!!!!!!!!
My fave for both creaters have to be Sonia's short sleeve yellow cardi, or the dress in the middle (above picture) and JPG's white Tee with the eyes and sequins lips.
And the trench coat, you're right. But otherwise, Jean-Paul's collection is a bit too literally retro for me. I just don't want to dress like people from videos I watched when I was in middle school. Yes, I'm that old.
I mean, nothing against revivals, but I like to look ahead : now and onwards....

another 'THE' coat.

oh la laaaaa....falling in love again with this quiet coat...... the daring off white, or the schoolgirl blue, its sharp fit and retro feel, the details and slightly military strict point of view. ....hmmm.

oh, and something completely different, has anyone heard about the 'Revolution'? I mean the new Silky Mat Idole foundation from Lancôme?

Have a nice Sunday everyone!
