Début

Sooo many long months after buying these cuties on sale this summer at André, I finally got the right occasion to wear them last Monday, dressing them up with a long pale pink vest and black shorts.
Few days prior to the party, I had tried for the first time the Model Co self tanning glove.
After a scary carrot tint on the day following the application, I got a lovely sunkiss effect on my legs right on time for the 'upscale casual' event.

The pix are rather dull I'm afraid, I didn't change the camera lens (dont ask me why; too lazy, on a hurry, all semi false excuses Béa, don't try to fool your karma) and the light is terrible this week. ....and I have to think of the best setting to take proper objects/clothes pictures. This post should help.

Moral of the story: always try. and sometimes re-try.
Okay, I'll get your better pictures.....

[edit: don't know what happended with the small px allignment...have to look into that...]
[edit BIS: if anybody btw knows how to keep the picture quality when posting, please leave us an email or comment. thx!]

Fall Golden Bike 2009

Not long ago, we told you how our beloved Golden Bike star had chosen to take a longer bike ride (okay, I thought I lost it for a while).
Now that it is back, let's announce our Fall 2009 Golden Bike :
tadaaaaaa.

The winner is :
The Lancôme Vibrating mascara primer....
Have to admit I was the one to choose it. And to tell you the whole story, Réré offered it to me for my bday few weeks ago, among other übercute goodies that I'm still working on but hope to show you soon.

Back to the eyelashes primer.
If you're on the blond side like me, I mean light complexion, light hair and, say 'discret' eyelashes, you will LOVE it. At first I wondered how it could be better than my regular primer. Even I was skeptical about the thick amount it leaves on my lashes. But after two weeks, I am totally in awe with the volume and the nice curbed hold it gives to my still surprised 12 poor lashes. No clogs, just a natural enhancement of what I am...(sigh) You know that first day of a new you feeling.
Can life be any better?
Well deserve Lancôme.
Thanks a million, Réré
Again, dear reader -you're welcome!

[edit : apply your regular mascara immediately after the primer. do not let it dry]

late summer bloom

Meet Miss Mexican Bush Sage.
Or the Houston erzats of lavender.
Not fragrant, not even moth repellent but muggy Gulf Coast approved and soft as velvet.
It deserved one full post for being so cute.

How said spooky? I say classy first.

Whaou, am back after few days in the sun and can't realize Halloween is again around the corner.
So I browsed the (real) web this morning to find few ideas in order to catch up with the 'giantandneedlesstosaidtoooftentacky plastic spider webs around your house' fever.
Here are few ideas I have found thanks to the always original How about Orange (referring herself to Parents.com) :

and delicate pumkins sculpted with simply wood carving tools from Martha :

And because here at onyourbikesunshine, we think a little jewel is always welcome...
(Stellae Necklace from Anthro)

(Ruffled Feathers necklace, also from Anthro)

A sutble pumpkin ring (still available!!!) from Pink Saguaro on Etsy

and last but not least...
from my ultra fave Extazia

If these do not get you in the mood, I'll be happy to send you the 2 tons of real half chewed acorns that squirrels keep throwing on our deck daily....
